How to Pack a “Moving Essentials Box” Before Your Move
This box will contain the “essential” items you’ll need for your last few nights before you move and/or the first few nights in your new home.
Pack a few easy meals, cleaning supplies, toiletries, items for preparing coffee…you know…the essentials before all the rest of your kitchen supplies are unpacked.
Label the outside of the box with “Essentials” and “#1” to indicate its priority for unpacking. Or you can pack the box with you so you can be sure to have it right away upon arrival.
This should be the last box packed into your moving truck and the first box you open when you get there.
